Ever since I first moved to New York —in 2007— I have played many different styles, but I must say that Colombian music was probably the style of music that I’ve played the most.
Some of my best friends are from Colombia and even though I love the music and the culture of this country, I have never been there. Until now!
I will be teaching a few clinics and playing a concert this coming June 2nd, 2012 at the Festival of music in Ibagué, Tolima. The band consists of some amazing musicians of the New York music scene, they are: Godwin Louis (alto saxophone), Axel Tosca (piano), Eric Doob (drums), Paulo Stagnaro (percussion) and myself on bass.
Very much looking forward to it!
Below you can find a compilation of videos where I play some rhythms from Colombia with different groups.
