I have recently traveled to India for the second time.

For 7 weeks, I taught music lessons at Swarnabhoomi Academy of Music near Chennai, and traveled in India and Bahrain playing shows with Farah Siraj and Dario Boente’s bands.

Below you can find some pictures of the good times and the wonders of India.

A lot of people asked me about my Sukop bass specifications, so here they go:

5 string bass (tuned E, A, D, G, C). 35″ scale (extra long). Very thin fret wire.

Aguilar OBP-3SK/PP preamp, Seymour Duncan dual coil pickups (made at Fodera).

Ebony fretboard, 5 piece neck through (flame maple and purple heart), myrtle wood top, african mahogany body core. Ebony ramp.

‘Independent Suspension’ brass bridge (engineered by Sukop), brass nut. Drop D-tuner.

D’Addario chromes flat wound strings (0.34 — 0.95)

I had the pleasure of playing and teaching workshops with fantastic musicians; pianist Rafael Alcalá —who is also the creator and director of online music school Musinetwork— and amazing drummer Tony Escapa.

We performed at the Jazz Tam Fest (at Matamoros, Reynosa and Nuevo Laredo) and then taught music workshops at Tampico.
